You put on 2 layers of 5% tint on your driver and front pass windows? Shit man how do you see out? Thing must be pitch black.

It's not as bad as you would think it's just brutal at night

Here's 40% on the windshield, the rest of the windows are 5%. Love it, was a slight adjustment at night, but it's really not that bad. During the day and bright sun is awesome.

Thats what I want so I just ask them if they have 40% ?? I think they just have 35% but I will ask tommorow..

Yeah, doesn't hurt to ask. But if they only have 35 id still go for it. If I ever redo for any reason think I'll go 35 next time.

Side note on the windshield tint, dont let the dealer or anyone else put the oil change reminder sticker up in the corner. I peel mine off right away usually and it took a very small area of the tint with it. Luckily its out of sight out of mind but my tint is no longer prefect you know. What can you do!

Polarized sunglasses are ok looking out the 3M brand. No issues. You can really tell the difference when windows up vs down.

If you want to really block the UV rays from the sun and the solar heat, you want to ask for 3M crystalline tint. I have it in my truck and car all the way around with the CR 70 on the windshield and CR 40 on the sides. Look it up on Youtube to see how well it works. Here in Phoenix it gets hot and this is the ticket to help stay cool. Its more expensive than other tint, but its worth the investment.

Just one more question, what effect did the CR70 on the windshield have of the light sensor that controls the dimming of the info-screen? Does the info-screen still dim and brighten like it use to? Thanks.

I had a 2006 Charger with the high end 5% metal based tint. That was brutal at night, backing up was literally a shot in the dark. 2 layers is on a whole other level man at least you have a camera I did not!

The dimmer still works like normal. No changes there. The windshield lets in a lot of sun and heat if not protected. The 3m really blocks the heat and harmful UV rays.

I just ran into an interesting situation. I was getting my windshield tinted with clear ceramic tint. I just received a call from the tint company and he said he had some sort of bulletin where the 2019 Chevrolet were not recommended for windshield tinting because of some sort of computer module. He said he did not see anything regarding a 2019 GMC but he figured it would be one and the same. It is a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. Have any of you run into this situation? I am trying to figure out what to do.

Here's 30% on the front 3 windows with the 5% strip on the front, 5% on the side passenger windows, and 2 layers of 5% on the back windshield all over the factory15/20% on the back 3 windows.
