Rarest Configuration?

I wonder what's the rarest combo of truck that you can get? I have a 2015 GMC single cab short bed SLE with the 4.3 and it seems that this combo (in conjunction with a Chevy RCSB LT V6) is nowhere else to be found, at least in my area.

Funny you should mention the reg cab manual. My exact set up for over 40 yrs! I just purchased a 2016 Silverado reg cab WT automatic from Tipotex Chevrolet (southernmost chevy dealer in Texas). Right across the Rio Grande on Matamoros, Mex sits a 2016 Silverado 5 speed manual (NV 3500 with 4.10 rear axle).. I tried. There was absolutely no way to purchase it. First, it's dangerous to be over there and drive a new vehicle. Second US customs and EPA make it nearly impossible and very expensive to import. The kicker is that both the US version and the Mexican truck are made side by side in the same plant in Mexico. Guess the stick shift in the US had become extinct.

I actually got the chance to drive one last year, a 2015 4.3 manual, on a trip over to Mexico. It was tons more fun to drive compared to my current truck with the 6 speed auto. I wish GM would just take the chance and give us the manual!

My first truck was an '86 Chevy C10 Custom Deluxe regular cab long bed manual. It was technically a 4 speed, but it was a 3 speed with an extra low gear so it went L-1-2-3. I called it the granny transmission lol. I wouldn't suggest driving that trans on the interstate, sounded like the 305 was going to blow up every time I did, which wasn't much in that truck. Didn't have A/C either which is why I still drive with the windows down if it's not cold and not raining. If it would have been 4x4 I would still have it as a play truck. I prefer a manual trans, doesn't bother me in city traffic either.

My 2016 RCLB WT is a modern dinosaur. It does have the 6 speed auto though; and is the first auto I've bought in 30 years.

Yeah! I major fussed with the owner of Tipotex Chevrolet - he just mumbled something about the paddle shifter, and doesn't think GM will ever again offer the manual in the U.S.

Mine may not be RCSB rare, but I have a CC AT SLE which is fairly rare as almost all AT's I have seen are SLT's. I bought it used but it always confuses people when I tell them

It is an SLE since it has a lot more extras than a non AT SLE

Down in Florida any truck that isn't a loaded LTZ/SLT that is 4x4. A big chunk of our Z71's are 2WD here, very common on years it's and option.

I owned few loaded scsb v8 5 speed trucks in the 90s and would love to be able to buy a new one like that.

The RCSB, I spent months searching for one I wanted before I ended up ordering one. I cam across one in almost a year of searching that was a 2016 GMC Sierra SLE, and that was a custom order with a no show on pick up. A optioned out RCSB is almost impossible to find.

Yeah, RCSB are tough to find over here. I had to order one to get the options I wanted. I would say a RCLB Z71 is even more rare, haven't seen a single one on the road yet.

Good point, I don't think I've ever come across a RCLB with any sort of options on it.

You and me both. I was very lucky to find my single cab SLE, especially since it was a leftover 2015 that basically sat for 2 years. Funny thing is that I actually saw this truck new on the lot in 2014, but didn't buy until 2 months ago as basically new lol.

I have once, there was a 2016 GMC Sierra RCLB fully loaded SLE with the 4.3 in Tampa not too long ago. Very rare configuration.
