Coilover vs "standard" lift?

I believe so. Just depends on the lift you go with. Majority of lifts are a big strut spacer up top or a longer replacement strut for ride quality and usually a larger knuckle. As long as you have the larger knuckle I don't think the swap would be hard later on down the road. Maybe call somelne like bds or pro comp and ask

I have BDS with Fox coilovers and BDS rear leaf springs and I can tell you ride was awesome when I drove home with stock wheels and tires but once the 35x12.5 E rated 10 ply tires went on the ride will get firmer and rougher on less than perfect roads. Asphalt roads are fine but some concrete roads are really bad. My truck bounces from the frame beaming caused by the expansion joints in the road. I tried lower tire PSI and it helps some but it still sucks over concrete roads around here. Mine may be due to my tires which I am looking to replace this month. I have Mickey Thompson ATZ which I hope to replace with Toyo RT or BFG AT KO2.

Has anyone tried using like a Bilstein 5100 or a Fox standard lift coilover with the strut spacer that comes with the standard lifts? Ive been thinking of doing something different to get rid of the rancho shocks with my standard strut spacer lift. Seems like this would work since its not a different height than the rancho shock just a better shock. I already have the Fox shocks in the rear and wanted to upgrade the front.

I did the 6" BDS with the coilovers and don't regret it one bit! It rides better than stock in my opinion. In my case, I always buy one thing and instantly regret it and wish I had gotten the "better" option. So this time I just decided to spend the extra money up front.
