Looks really good. Does anyone have the sylvania zxe? I ordered a set this past week, but after seeing the philips crystal vision I may have to get a set lol

I used the H9 bulb, you have to modify the tab to go into the stock wire harness but they work great. I have ran them for a year now and so far so good.

They are a higher wattage so put out more light.

I put the Philips crystal vision in on a Ford Edge on Monday. The light output is definitely much better than her old halogen. The bulb was probably around 5 years old anyway.

 

The comparison pic is bad because i was in a badly lit garage but you can see the color difference though. Ill see if i can get some good pics on the highway tomorrow. Im considering ordering these and returning (maybe just keep) the silverstar ultras i ordered. I like the white light the Philips have out on the road like the LED i have now

Looks good. Most folks just don't realize that with the DRLs driving the main headlight bulbs albeit at a slightly lower wattage, the headlights get overworked and will be dim after just a few years. People think that headlights are bad when they burn out, but by the time they do burn out, if they ever do, they've lost close to 50% of their output. I use 3 years as a good rule of thumb on replacing my headlights and I do notice a difference right away even with the stock bulbs. Now that I've gotten changing the headlights down on these GMT-900s I might try the bulbs mentioned above.

Put the silverstar ultras in about an hour ago and took out the opt7s. Nothing exciting but im happy with it, will post a small clip from the dashcam after work tomorrow.

Would be so much easier if that damn sensor would come loose from the filter tube but its like its stuck. I got it 1 time, the very first time ive messed with my lights, tonight was probably the 5th time.

I have the Phillips in both my high and lows. It's little better but none the less white versus yellow. It's nothing compared to my wife's CX5 which has factory LED headlights. She lights up the damn neighborhood like it's daytime.

Popped the Phillips in. Hard to notice a difference in the driveway and didn't have a chance to take it for a ride tonight. I did however notice a check engine light now [emoji15] perhaps because while the MAF was unplugged, I turned the ACC power on to ensure the bulbs worked prior to buttoning everything up?

It might go off after awhile. You can always swing by Advance Auto Parts or that place that used to be Checkers.. What is it called now.. O'Wacky's auto parts? use their OBD II scanner to hook up and read the code, get the code and then verify it is related to the MAF. If it is, you can reset the light.

For future reference, you can turn the headlights on without putting the key in the ignition switch.

      I am sorry if this was misleading. That was a document attached to our most recent work order number (Doc# 7105804) that summarized all the current updates. These programs were ‘redone’ in the past but these versions dated 4/1/2016 were the ones that actually made all of the problems disappear. These programs were relayed to the dealer from the technical services group at GM. Here is the exact wording on the last work order:   “Front view camera reprogramming with SPS. A new version of FCM software was released to the service dept. In addition to providing general robustness and stability enhancements, this update includes all enhancements from previous software version releases. SPS camera and calibrate camera. OLH to perform extended camera relearn procedure after camera calibration. Would not take with first GDS learn. Front camera SPS – BDYZ333157450 GDS2 – camera road calibration performed 2810835 Front view camera reprogramming with SPS LT 0.6 OLH – extended camera relearn procedure OLH LT 1.5”   I got the truck back on 4/8 – since that time it has been great no problems whatsoever. The lane keep assist, active cruise control and AEB all work very well around town and at highway speeds up to 80mph. During this time I had been away for a week and purposely let the battery sit without a batter tender. Even with the battery a bit lower there were no problems exhibited. I really think this one has it fixed after dealing with these issues over a couple of years. These new programs and relearn process when completed seem to make all the parts (and newer replacement parts) ‘talk’ to each other without any glitches. Hope this helps

      I turned 72 today. My day began with a trip to the pharmacy to pickup meds for me and the dog and then a stop at my chiropractor before heading home. Once home I started the job of replacing the rear brake pads and one rotor on our 2018 Silverado which will probably end up taking me 3 days to finish, gotta pace myself you know. Sometimes I question myself on why I still do most of my own repairs but if I wasn't then it's more than likely I would be sitting in front of the TV all day. It seems like the list of things I need to do gets longer no matter what I accomplish. I'm not complaining but being retired was so much easier when I was 62.   Peace

      google "bathub failure curve". Basically, any part of the vehicle can fail at any time.  It starts off as being more likely (early failure), then the failure rate goes down (but does not go to zero), then it goes up over time because it wears/ages out.
