Wondering if anyone has had this issue fixed?

I have minor Chevy shake that exists as the center console (I have the bench seat) vibrating between 70-80 mph. Has anyone had this version of the issue fixed and if so, what was done?

The vibrations are not coming from the center console. It could be a dozen things that are causing a vibration.

I agree

I have seen a lot of threads about the shake, don't recall anyone saying it was fixed.

Nope. Welcome to the club. I have the same thing at the same speeds. I had the driveshaft checked today and it was out of balance. It fixed it some, but a small vibration still persists. I'll go do a full test drive tomorrow since today I didn't have time to do a long drive. I'll report back tomorrow

It's just not consistent with the fix because they're all not doing the same thing and the cause are different. It could be something simple like 1 or more tires out of balance or it could be something worse. GM can't do a recall since it's not all the same causes and not all are the exact same vibration at the same speeds.

Shake and vibration are relative and on my 40/20/40 bench seat it's not the center console.....it is more likely the fold down cup holder armrest part of the console that vibrates do to the unforgiving flip down mounts........water in a glass will vibrate like crazy, but my seat, steering wheel & pedals do not vibrate.

My AWD Traverse with unit body, fully independent coil - strut suspension has a ride and handling that is smooth and responsive.

My previous 4WD Avalanches with coil springs, integral cab/bed and solid frame rode and handled somewhere between a car and a truck.

My 4WD Silverado with leaf springs, stiffer & heavier suspension, separately attached cab/bed and solid frame rides and handles like a truck.

Bottom line is you can't domesticate a wolf to be a pet dog; if you bought a Silverado/Sierra for a smooth ride and responsive handling, you bought the wrong Chevy!

Hey Tyler. OP had a question that has garnered some responses and as I type, there are 5 viewing right now.

The great thing about the internet is you don't have to even log on if you don't want to. Certainly OP wasn't trying to waste your time. I'm confident he hoped you'd skip over this thread.

My truck didn't vibrate with the OEM tires but now does with the Duratracs I had Sam's club install, when going 74 mph the truck will start to shake, getting worse and then subsiding for a while then it starts it all over again it is almost like every 2-3 miles the shake starts up and then goes away. I don't have much faith in my Sam's club balance job so this week I am going to have them balanced at a tire shop hopefully that will correct this issue.

This is interesting because I also have Duratracs installed, and I don't really remember a vibration before that. Could be wrong though

That's why I got my tires at the dealer too. Road force balance is best. Plus they were almost $100 cheaper than Sams club.

No more cheapo installs for me! Had a bad vibration problem with a front tire on the wife's minivan which was impossible to balance after three tries at a reputable balance center.....gave up and decided to replace the "new" tire and found a puddle of installation water/lube inside the tire...dried it out re-balanced and ran fine.

Now, before I fill a tire with air I always shoot some air against my hand first to make sure it is not spraying water/mist, due to failure to drain the tank or a missing/defective water knockout in the system.
