Ho-ly-sh!4.

Well...wipers and lights still kinda worked. That really says a lot with the salt water and all. Wow.

Back wheels were not turning when they pulled it out. Looks like it was in park, so I really have to wonder how that happened.

those ramps are very grimy and slippery. Also, once you get the back end of the truck into the water, the water will displace/shift the weight so that less weight is on the axle. Big oops. Annnnnnnd, they are not totaled as long as they don't report the problems. Amazing what a good drying out can do now a days!

Not really. I doubt the owner had either one on previously and water getting into things is just causing havoc. Even if they did dry everything that truck would never be the same. It'd be haunted by electrical gremlins.

I thought the single video I came across was a 1 hit wonder but after watching the video Colossus posted I have been proven wrong.

I have manual tranny truck, back down into the ramps all the time.

From the first time onward.. I use 4x4.

Sometimes four low to blat five gears before the top of the hill disrupting everyone in the outdoor restaurant. :)

anyway,

Automatics, same things to think about, but that "P" for park really seems confident.

Park means nothing when there is a loss of traction and weight displacement :)

I was witness to this happening at a boat launch.. The one I saw was a Firebird Trans Am with T-tops... it was a 5 speed and the owner put the emergency brake on and when they were loading the boat onto the trailer the brake cable snapped..
