Recalls

GM is simply trying to keep our safety in mind, not necessarily our convenience. But that's why some dealerships are open late and on weekends :driving:

wouldn't trade it for a ford or dodge!!

They're already fixing it for free. Even if they did reimburse you it would take forever. you'd also have to show proof of how much you make per hour and how long you were at the dealer to see how much money you lost. Most recalls are done in less than an hour so do you really want to go through all that trouble for just a few bucks? Highly doubt they would reimburse you for travel time, only the time you were waiting.

At the end of the day, quit whining because everybody has to deal with it. You think you're the only one dealing with recalls and dealerships? Get off your high horse.

^^^^ Well said, but let me add that IF they did some sort of reimbursement, they would just add it to the amount that we pay for a vehicle. The manufactures are not going to eat the cost of our time.

What pisses me off is getting a doctors appointment at the first time slot of the day and still having to sit for a couple of hours before they call the first patient to the back. Doctor is in the room for 5 minutes top and charges $125.00 for the visit. The SOB ought to pay me for my time, BUT it doesn't work that way. Its an aggravation any time that we must use our time to do something like going in to the doctor for a check up or going to the dealership for recall work , but is just part of life.

When it comes to stuff like doc appointments, I don't like waiting but again I'm not the only one having to wait so can't be but so mad. The only thing that actually gets on my nerves bad enough to make me mad is if they call someone before me that arrived to the office after I did. But, I know it's more than one doc, it still makes me mad though.

Plus he has to pay for his school somehow so it falls on the patients.
