Unusual Color

Got to work this morning and parked next to another SIlverado, though I've never seen this color. Any ideas? It's a '16 or '17 LT.

Probably a custom order. Perhaps the owner was good friends with a salesman. A local dealership had a rcsb silverado in bright yellow right when the 2016s came out. If you have the cash and are willing to spend..you can get just about anything you want.

At first I thought it was cool. Then I realized it looks the same as DOT trucks in Iowa.

Not sure if it is a special order but if you Google Tangier Orange you'll find some in that color

I live in Tennessee. I see enough of that color during football season. Yuck!!! lol

Yes there is a whole separate list of colors not generally available to the public without ordering them. These are mostly fleet and government vehicle colors.

Sometimes weird colors are special options. This may be a GM fleet color. They have special order school bus yellow, and DOT orange. I would more expect it on a 2500 or bigger.

 

For my next truck I'd like to order their medium non metallic forrest ranger green.

Fleet color, not available to anyone without a fleet account. I worked 30 yrs for state dot and all our trucks came in orange.

When you get to work and can't see the lines because of the not-yet-melted snow, yeah, you do.

 

I kinda like it, but like jammin87ss says, I think the wheels help a lot.
