Has anyone had issues with there transmissions other than me. I stopped the other night to get gas started the truck up put it in drive hit the gas to go and it was like I was in neutral. I ended up driving it home in manual mode. The next morning it was picked up and towed to the dealer they said a module in the valve body was bad. Ill have the truck back on Friday hopefully,

Only had my brand new 2017 Z71 for a little over two weeks and had the shuttering and winding problem. Makes me wish I never got rid of my 07 classic. Now that was a truck. 262000 mls and had more balls the day I traded it in than this truck. So I checked the tranny fluid and it was a quart low. Refilled it correctly with the right fluid. Checked it about ten different times at different outside and operating temps just to be sure it was at correct level and seems to be holding. No leaks that I can find. Shuttering seems to have gone away as far as I can tell. Human and machine automation error is everywhere. Didn't surprise me that the factory didn't fill it properly. Assuming it's a brand new truck with only ten miles on it you'd think you wouldn't have to worry about fluids being low. But like I mentioned already error is everywhere. If I hadn't noticed, it may have gone on too long and no doubt would've become a problem that reminisces some of the symptoms I've been reading about all afternoon on this forum. Check your fluids! The retards at the plants obviously don't care about the work they're doing. Truck design is only third year into production and there's already over 35k posts about issues just on this forum. Government Motors needs to get their act together. I never had this kind of problem with the last three brand new chevys I've bought over the past thirty years. It's like the eighties all over again.

So they added the transmission dip stick to the 2017? My 2016 doesn't have one wish it did.

Strange, my 2015 has one.

My 2014 has one. You may need to look a little closer.

So how are you supposed to check it?

Is there a sensor in the tranny?

They say the fluid level should not need to be checked, unless the transmission has been overheated or is leaking and the dealer has to check the level
