Service Stabilitrac

Curious if anyone else has seen this. If I shut down the engine ('16 2500 Dmax), but leave the key in and not get out, when I restart the truck 5-10 minutes later, I get the "service stabilitrac". Goes away after several seconds, and I get no other warnings. Seems to be a software issue, but what isn't software something on these new trucks. Next week I will be taking it to the dealer to at least get it documented, as I know this will not store an error that can be read later.

If the light on the right side of the dash isn't staying on then it should not be an issue but doesn't hurt to get it documented.

Ours had service stabilitrak and trailer brakes come on, go off at next start, and play that game for a few days, no codes. Finally they both stayed lit and dealer replaced a bad wheel speed sensor. Now no problems. Hope yours is as simple.

When that error displays, you have to take it to the dealer and not shut it off. For some reason, these trucks don't store codes after they're shut off... That is what I ran into with my 2014 1500.

Making the square holes isn't that difficult. They're just round holes filed square. My only issue is that due to their location, laying out & "making them" isn't the easiest.
