I just notice the 2017 GMC radio/dash/temp control does not have its unique red color scheme/theme like it use to (at least my 2015 features the "GMC" red theme).

So, does it mean the GMC and Chevy now have the same infotainment system (I'm sure it has always been the same "programmatically" but one was called Chevy Link (blue) and the other one was Inteli Link and red)?

I kind of liked the red theme as it matches up nicely with the GMC logo...

The dash lighting was changed for 2017. As far as the infotainment systems I believe they are still separate chevy/GMC systems.

Here's the new dash. This is from my '17 All-Terrain. I prefer the red and white to be honest. The blue looks 'cheap'.

'EDIT'.

Never mind. Apparently Tapatalk won't attach the image for me. Piece of crap!!

that's funny, I prefer the blue. I think the red looks tacky.

and I have a red display in my daily driver grand am.

Different strokes for different folks for sure. I think the red/white looks more "premium" so to speak. The blue colour reminds me of a Chevy Cavalier.

I still like the green dash & orange needles I grew up looking at. I drove 3 different dodges during HS ranging from 1988 to 1994 model years.

This is easy on the eyes. haha.

I also much prefer the red lighting in the GMCs. I'm very upset that GM cheapened out and when with blue. The blue doesn't look bad, but the red looked better and it was a nice touch to differentiate Chevy and GMC. I'm betting the bean counters made this decision.

And on some other vehicles you get to pick the color and change it with your mood. If I was to buy another GMC before the switch back to red, I would just swap out the LEDs and go retro red.

Red vs. Blue.

Definitely like the red better.....Personal preference of course, but it also flows well with the red stitching of the All-Terrain.
