Elite e2x vs. UPR Plug n Play

Anyone familiar with both systems and able to comment on which one performs better? Capacity with UPR might be an issue. Also mounting location for those who prefer the spare battery area. But, the OEM fittings must be great.

Duckfart, I like it. Nice to see another MN Twins fan. Was it Bert Blyleven who coined that term for the twins?

I have Elite Catch Can, mounted in the rear. I'm not sure what model Elite it is, I forget, but it works great. Thanks for the reminder to empty it, I just ran out and did that.

I like and have the Elite E2X and like it for the mounting options. What I don't like is the cheap hose that's used. Mine collapses under vacuum and makes noise.

The UPR has nicer hoses and OEM style hose ends. The single mounting option is a drawback since I don't like the master cylinder location because it gets in the way of the oil fill location (funnel must be used).

That being said both are great companies to deal with and very responsive.

I wonder which separates better

I looked in classified section and found mine. That's how I chose. There's one in classifieds now you might take a look at

I like the fact that the E2 doesn't have that drain valve which could leak and the E2 can separates for cleaning access. The E2X and the UPR do not separate and have the drain valve. I believe that Elite has better hoses now too. The spring hose clamps that Elite uses are the same as some of the other stock hose clamps in the engine compartment and although they aren't the same as the stock PCV clamps, they do match others in there.

+1 for elite. I love mine

Most folks like what they already have - human nature. Did you choose it over the UPR for some reason or is it just what you got?

We never have issues with our drain valves leaking on our new systems as we switched suppliers, the only way to have a leak would be operator forgets to close it properly. If the drain valve is an issue you can always opt for a drain plug as many do and just use a 3/8" wrench and you can drain the system in a few minutes. I do prefer the drain valve and just add a nipple to the bottom with enough hose so it just drains into a pan under the vehicle is how I run my personal stuff. We will be adding a drain option on the website next week.

That's the deal. No one seems to have done a legit side by side. Basically you have two guys both saying their product is best. It's like being at the fair and trying to decide which barker has the better peeler gizmo. I'm probably overthinking, as someone suggested, but it's not an insignificant amount of money and I want to make the best choice.

If i remember tonight after work ill drain mine and post a picture of the gunk it catches. Its impressive. Not trying to undermine the UPR, I just havnt heard too much about it and was impressed with e2x reviews and the support/videos they had.

They all catch gunk. Which is the best gunk catcher?

In my opinion the can part is all the same. The nly major difference is the connectors they use. If 1 works better then the other I'm sure it's very minimal. Not even enough to notice. Put a picture of both on a wall. Spin yourself around and whichever you.touch first buy it
