Ideas for New Wheels/Tires

Recommended Posts

Thinking about putting some Fuel Couplers on the truck, but the total cost with a level and 295 tires is around 2,700. I really like the 20 inch look, but am wanting to save some money. Just wondering if anyone has some suggestions on a rim that I can save some money on, or how much you paid for your setup.

thanks!

I always liked the look of 20" wheels. I have 2 sets now but I'm seriously thinking of picking up a set of 18's. Better ride and a little more sidewall to protect the wheels. Plus weight savings that helps performance and millage. Just something to think about.

If you like the look of 20's over 17's or 18's, then definitely wait a bit longer until you can get the 20's because wheels are something you want to make sure you get just right.

This was my old old 2014. I would NOT put those tires on another pickup. Get a good name brand. I was running a 2.5 front level. Not sure of the brand, but was cheap off eBay. Custom offsets is a awesome web site for getting ideas and seeing what will fit, price, and ideas!

although i dont have them...i was going to get Black Rhino wheels (i ended up getting a Midnight Edition, so i didnt feel the need for aftermarket wheels)...also, for a 4x4, i strongly recommend sticking with 18"...there are alot of people that dont agree with me, its just a personal preferrence...but the cost and look to me are ideal.

as far as tires, i have 285/65 BFG KO2 and have been very happy with them. although i have done a couple mods, the truck in my sig can give you an idea of what that looks like...(i do have a front level kit on)

I agree about the 18" wheels on a truck. The 20's and even some 22's look nice but trucks need some sidewall heigth. I unfortunately have two sets of 20" wheels and tires but I'm looking for a set of 18" wheels with a nice offset. For some reason ( I havn't figured it out yet) my 2015 NHT 6.2 only came with 20" wheels. Made in China stamped on them too.
