What kinda gas milage are you getting with 33/1250/20s or 305/55/20s?

I average 21-22 mpg on the highway right now and I'm wanting to do a 2.5" level with either of those size tires I will also be doing new wheels at this time also. I'm only interested in a all terrain as I drive my truck way to much on the highway for a mud tire. My daily round trip is 80miles.

Just wondering what everyone else is getting. I've driven my truck for 60k miles stock and it's time for a change.

Vince have a 2015 AT 6.2 with 33x12.5 Toyo RT's and get 19-19.5 mpg on highway doing between 63-67 mph. Average dropped 1.5-2.5 mpg with tires.

AT tires = more tread, noise, friction and greater rolling resistance.

Your ride will burn more fuel that's guaranteed but no one buys a pickup truck for fuel economy anyways.

Results will vary, expect anywhere from 1-3 as any of the other hundreds of threads have stated. Do you have a 4x4? That will matter as well, not sure being down in MS as most are 2wd.

Just got home from a 1,200 mile round trip, 99% was all interstates running 12-14mph over the speed limit and averaged 17.7mpg. Not too shabby for 420hp running 82-84 mph

I'm on a 2.5 level with 305-55 and I'm get 22mph mixed highway and city. Forgot to mention it's diablo tuned too. Without it I was getting 13mph

realistically 19-21 with a controlled right foot. u start taking the air dam off and take away v4 ur gonna be struggling to get 19.

I have the LT (heavy) Nitto G2 in 305 and a very heavy right foot. I get around 13-14mpg with a 2" front level. I probably average 14mpg tops on the highway (usually 80-85mph and hilly)

You gained 9mpg from the Diablo tune??? This makes me want to get it even though it would probably void my warranty...

Would the tune void an extended warranty? I'm out of my bumper to bumper.....That's an amazing increase in mileage. I'm headed to Meeker Colorado from Atlanta GA this September and could use the extra mileage. I'm stock otherwise in my 15' 6.2 Denali on stock tires and 3:23 gearing.

This was like 3 days after tuning it. I'll try get another shot for ya. I am currently at 19k miles and said f the warranty. I'll just return it back to stock and take a 50/50 chance with the dealership

28.1 has to be the highest number I have seen on one of those! Downhill with a tail wind I recon.

My friend with a level averages 17.3-19 depending...

Me with a 7" lift 35s I'm lucky to pull 15.5 usually aver 12.8 normally without watching the mileage.

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
