What Kinf Of E Track Straps

Recommended Posts

So I have a trailer on order that I built and I ordered the E track and I'm wondering what type of straps and sizes everyone is using. I'm looking for good quality stuff. Is cam lock better than the ratching or is it just a presence.

Hmmm. I am making a PB&J, what is the best jelly to use? I'm just kidding with you.

I think either would work fine, it is a matter of preference. It depends on the size of trailer you have and the load bearing needs really. For example a heavy duty 5x10 utility trailer is usually rated at 3600#. So some wal-mart 10,000# ratchet straps would be PLENTY and not break the bank.

If you have the individual E track - ring anchors you can use any strap type you like -- and use them for other things as well.

I hate cam lock straps -- IMHO they can come loose to easy. Ratchets are much easier to tighten against the load. Of course there are also some 'cheapy' ratchets out there as well.

There are 2 companies when it comes to e-track  and accessories.

Erickson Manufacturing and Kinedyne.

Where you purchase them is up to you.

The Kinedyne link has 13 pages of E-track, L-track  and A-track accessories.

Most commercial customers choose Kinedyne products, but Erickson has some cool stuff.
