Under Seat Storage

It definitely works better on the driver's side. For me I got one care seat behind driver and one in the middle. I'm going to get a vss soon. I thought about getting console sub but I don't want everything to rattle in the console. With that I made some mods to the target bin so I can pull out from the front. I'm not quite done I'm gonna get some door edge moulding I think for the top. Check it out. Rear measurement is 4 1/8 front tapers up to the bead. It's 7" to the bottom of the bead. Could be cut a hair more but I want to keep it kind of snug. Just not as snug as it was 0c90550d198c864ecc64bc32c65f8424.jpgafa9cec391eab10c28d62b901cb6419a.jpg

Yea I like it I just got some door edge protector at AutoZone and put it on there. Cleaned it up a bit. Still debating cutting the bead off the front. Which is about 1/8 of an inch. It will fit a little better. It has rubber feet but I don't want it sliding out on a hard brake.

I did something similar to the Rubbermaid one but instead I bought a few smaller ones.  I can fit 3 or 4 of them under the seat and move them around as I need to and you don't need to trim the height.  There are 2 different styles I ended up trying.  These links show different colors but they come in black, gray, white (probably wouldn't want this), or this brown one at Lowes matches my Dune interior almost perfectly!:

The seats are angled. How does that work. Got some pics. I probably would have done this instead...hell I still might!

No pics but the height of the baskets fit back almost against the back wall of the truck.  I just push them under the seat with the seat bottom folded down.  Yes there is a gap between the seat bottom and the front of the basket but I only load the baskets up as high as the top edge of them.

I chose to go this route since it is easy to move the baskets around.  Since I have 4 smaller ones in there I can easily move just 1 or 2 if I want to fold up half the seat.  Plus I keep different things in each basket (first aid stuff in one, bungees and ratchet straps in another, towels and rags in another).  Then I just grab the basket I need and take it wherever I need it (for example all the tie-down stuff into the bed when I need to pick which strap to use).

And the good part is once you're out of car seats you can use that as a fiberglass template to build a speaker box! :D

In my 15 I had the GM one but in my 18 I just today installed the model from Du-Ha, I like the fact that the Du-Ha one is easily removable, I think it has better use of the available area and it will contain any spills too.

I purchased the huskey but it didn't fit well with the floor mats that came with the Centennial package. The floor mats are molded plastic. Below is a picture I found online of those mats in the rear.

The huskey was pushing down too hard on the floor mats when the bench is down. This causes the edges of the molded mats to flare up and when you close the door it would get caught on the mat.

Just an update after returning the Huskey storage. I purchased the OEM one from GM and couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the extra $. Much more sturdy, fits perfectly with the OEM floor liners, and bolts very secure to the rear seat post. Only downside is that is is not simple to remove if you have a spill that needs to be cleaned up.
