Easy RAP location

Thought I'd share this. I've been using this Retained accessory power blade for my radar detector. I've seen people splicing other wires or using the pins in the panel by the pedals. I think this is much easier. Haven't seen others using it. It's located in the drivers side fuse panel

Is that the same spot where you can move that 50amp fuse to that slot and it changes the cigarette lighter Plug voltage from hot all the time to RAP?

:) - I'll delete my post :) - seriously though, there are tons of good information here. I only knew that spot to move that fuse over. Didn't know it could be used for that function. That's a good find! Especially being able to confirm it works like that.

I am actually thinking about a dashcam and will probably hook it up this way. Thanks!

I knew about switching the fuse over but never considered using the blade for powering things by itself

Is that rhetorical?

I was curious too. I don't have that green plug.

That's what I did for my dash cam to turn on and off with my vehicle.
