Removing the CAT located after the mufffler

Would removing the catalytic converter that is located after the muffler, right before the exhaust tip cause any other issues or would i be ok removing it?

Resonator, not cat, correct? Removal will just change the noise.

Not sure, I haven't gotten under there and examined it but i wanted to remove that and move my exhaust tip back so that it is hidden. I don't remember seeing an 02 sensor attached, so it might be the resonator. what kind of sound or tone is the resonator removing?

That third cat aka pup cat aka un-monitored cat is exactly that, a cat converter. Plenty of folks on here have deleted, try searching for third cat delete on the forums. Resonator is after the muffler. Its after the axle turnover section of the tailpipe.

If it's after the muffler it's a resonator not a cat. Its there to clean up the sounds and help cancel out resonance.

The one behind the muffler that's around your rear axle is just a resonator, so it's just a second muffler. I had everything from the muffler on back when I had a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler with dual tailpipes when I had my '14. Also if you look before the muffler, you will see an actual 3rd cat. The 3rd cat is not monitored and I believe only done to make it street legal in California. So you can also remove the 3rd cat if you don't like in Cali, or maybe any other state that would require a 3rd cat which as far as I know it's just Cali.

So minus resonator - turned down before rear axle - stock muffler and flapper remain?

 

Will most def make a resonating difference in the cab...........
