GM just had its best-ever August in China. With sales of 328,425 total vehicles sold under all GM brands, GM's China sales now top its U.S. sales by more than 20%, which were 275,552. But what is GM selling there? In order of brand sales, here is the breakdown for August:

- Buick = 103,277 Total. Half are sedans. The new Envision crossover is one of GM's vehicles sold in both markets

- Baojun = 82,658 Total. Mostly Crossovers and wagons. The Baojun 510 above is GM's top-selling crossover in China. With 33,000 sold in August, it tops every crossover GM sells in the U.S.

- Wuling = 80,771 Total. Mostly the Hong Guang Minivan used as a limo and ride-share service vehicle. The newest variant is shown above. 34K sold in August.

- Chevy = 46,705 Total. Sedans are slightly ahead of crossovers. The Equinox is sold in China now (just starting).

- Cadillac = 15,014 Total. We hear a lot about GM's success in China with Caddy. The numbers are still tiny, but growing. The XT5 (used as a limo) is about 40% of sales. ATS and CT6 the rest.
