Sometimes CarPlay won't work until the cable is reseated.

On occasion, I'll plug my iphone in, wait until the 'projection' icon switches to 'carplay' and then tap the 'carplay' icon only to get no response. The icon does change from 'projection' to 'carplay', and 'carplay' is active on the phone itself, so it knows it's connected. I have to pull the lightning connector from the phone and re-insert then all is well.

Anyone else seeing this? Cable going bad maybe?

Happens to me from time to time. I either continue to hit the CarPlay logo or unplug the cord and then plug it back in after a few seconds

I was having the same issue for a while, I also noticed my phone wasn't charging very quickly when plugged in. Turns out the charging port on my phone had a build up of dust/pocket lint. I cleaned the port with a can of compressed air and haven't noticed the problem since. It may or may not work for you, but worth a shot.

I either have to reseat or power the radio right off, hold down the power button for 3-5 seconds and then restart it.

Mine was doing this. IT turned out to be lint stuck in the phone connector.

It hold the plug up and prevents it from going in all of the way.

Once I cleaned it out it works every time I connect it now.
