2014 Sierra replacement aluminum UCA’s

54k miles and dealer says all 4 ball joints have a lot of play. Problem is they want $1100. I can’t seem to find any replacement kits for the aluminum like I can for the stamped steel. Any recommendations?

 

I have rc 2” level with about 20k miles on it. Will likely remove when replacing.

Man, that’s hard to believe. I haven’t don’t any ball joints in the 2014+ yet.

Moog control arms with greasable joints will be far less than $1100 and will last far longer than OEM GM. Don't remove the level..

They’re probably full of it anyway. Just couldn’t believe it was that much. Can get new lower bj’s and lift with new UCA’s for roughly that...hmm

Well I spoke with Moog who stated none of their UCA’s fit the aluminum. But they do have lower ball joints for the aluminum arms.

I find it hard to believe the frames are different for trucks with aluminum control arms. The mounting points should be identical for stamped, cast iron, or aluminum control arms.

i was told by gm service tech that the mounting stud is larger and that is why the steel arms and ball joints wont work
