Get the stuff out of the bed, and bed bar, and, yes. Nice steel fender bulges, cool old style paint job, big tires, yeah.

To each his own..... With the short bed and bed bar with the side cladding , it reminds me more of an updated Avalanche than anything. Maybe I'm to utilitarian, a p/u truck should be able to haul things, I guess in a nutshell to borrow a cliche, all hat, no horse.

I remember my dad having a Suburban with 6.2 diesel and stripes like that about 1979 in that sand color and 3 tone bronze stripes- what a cool truck

Far as I understand it, yes. Even back then it was an amazing option

I don't ever recall seeing any during my travels in the US. They were a common option up here.

I guess the Desert Fox was marketed to those middle aged guys who fought the real Desert Fox in WW2, Erwin Rommel?  And Maybe their 20 something kids?  Kinda like all those trucks in those pale desert colors but glossy that remind our current veterans of their wartime Humvees?
