The rear doors don’t have a lighted interior handle on Phil’s truck.

Found it.

And actually - This circuit is also present in the Grey Connector (X7 BCM Connector - Far Left most Connector).

Same yellow wire, same circuit # 6817 (LED Backlight Dimming Control). The grey wire next to it is the outside mirror puddle lamp.

Thanks!!

Worked great for my footwell lights which I wanted on this lighting circuit!

Also anyone interested in doing this the mounting locations where these go on the Tahoe. Are on the Silverado no modifications at all other then tapping into the power source.

Driver side mounts right under the hood pull. Where the duct mount is there is a rectangle slot. Pass side is in between glove box and the plastic cover for the A/C box. There is a tab with a rectangle notch. I was blown away that it was already there.

I remember renting an SUV and saw similar footwell lighting under the front seat illuminating the rear footwell area. Same softer ambient light. Trying to remember how it was mounted.

Yea and unless you really were observant you couldn’t tell it’s such a soft white glow which I was looking for. And I have part numbers for both the lights and connectors. But you could prob make your own. And save even more money.

I thought about a dual light setup. Have the ambient LED tied to the same Backlight Control, and a 2nd brighter tied to the interior dome Lamp. That way, when the doors are open (or when the dome lamp switch is on), you get full bright (identical to the white dome lamps, then at night, the softer ambient light on all the time.

i know i am taking a little shit but pics with words helps sooo much.i have been wanting to do this mod since i bought my truck last year.i have the LTZ trim and was surprised that i did not have them.

so let me understand, is this available on other lineups like Tahoe or Suburban of same model year?if so it just a matter of ordering the wiring harness and a simple install?
