Underhood storage and train horn

So i was considering getting the klien train horn kit that goes mounted in the extra battery tray location. But i also wanted to see if there was anything on the market to allow for both a small storage box and the klien kit to be installed?

Im not 100% yet on the train horn kit, but asking since it does use that space to mount, i would then be limited or denied abilility to add a small storage box under the hood as well.

I havent seen how much room is left after the train horn install, but if anyone has that already installed, is there any room left to custom build a small box to go in the same area for storage?

What about a boat battery box, should be able to fit one in there, not sure about your horn.

thanks, im trying to accomplish having both, before buying either of them. I dont yet have the horn or storage, but was hoping to see if i could fit both under the hood before buying anything.. I may have to fabricate something, but looking for possible existing solutions.

There are earlier threads on train horns which may help you (hopefully) to re-consider your wish to have a train horn. With respect to a storage box, I highly recommend going to a metal/aluminum fabrication shop. Give them a drawing of what you want and say you're in no rush. A job like this is simple and can be a time filler for these businesses. You may be surprised of the cost to have a great quality, custom made box to your exact specifications.

Exactly! Train horns are called train horns because they belong on trains. There is no need for one in a pickup truck. The stock horn gets plenty loud to serve its purpose. Unless you have several hundred spare dollars lying around that you MUST spend...in which case, you can just send it to me and everyone wins!

Interested in this as well... Don’t let some of the comments discourage you... I’ll try searching the threads tomorrow but if u find an answer, please share and I’ll do the same... SMH... 75% of the factory features aren’t required for a truck to do what it’s designed to do but people spend obscene amounts of money for packages like Z71, Denali, LTZ, etc... when they can just purchase the equivalent parts and have them installed after the fact and save damn near 75% on the package cost...
