Carven Progressive Series kit

I was thinking about putting an exhaust kit on my 2015 double cab for a while. I think I looked at every Silverado exhaust kit video on YouTube. I didn't want anything over the top loud or popping or cackling. I was looking for a deep low rumble.

I decided on this kit from Carven. I took advantage of their 10% off sale on Presidents' Day and got it to my door for $494.00.

Install was a breeze and I am happy with the result. Sound is what I was looking for and it now sounds like a truck. I would recommend this kit for anyone looking for more the stock, but deep, mellow tones.

Piggywutz do you notice any better  throttle response with your new cat back?

I have my eye on the same system. Didn't know they had a 10 % off sale.

I don't have any clips. Don't know how to get vids up on this site.

Do you have AFM turned off?

I do not. You can hear it switch back and forth. To me it's not that bad. I'm sure it would be worse with a more aggressive kit. I would try a Range device, but I have heard some horror stories with them throwing codes. Not worth the risk to me.

Would love to hear some sound clips as well, sharp looking truck!

No clips, thanks for the compliment.

I think it's a little bit quicker, but it may be in my head because I'm distracted by the new sound. Carven does have periodic sales. I think they had 15% off on Black Friday, but I missed it so I jumped on the 10%. Just keep checking their site or the FB page, they post up the coupon code when they have a sale.

Looks pretty nice, but they alienate a LOT of folks who have 4x4.  Can anyone explain to me what difference there is in a cat-back exhaust on a 2wd vs. 4wd?  Why does their stuff say "Will not fit 4x4"?  Makes no sense to me.

Ahhh, my truck is a 4x4. No problems.

I also went with Carven on my 16. But went with their louder competitor series. It has a deep aggressive sound but not overly loud at all. But I have been used to a setup of headers, no cats and a straight through magnaflow on my now gone 06 Ram 4.7L. It sounded pretty mean. I have a clip but it's not all that great. I'll post it if I can.

Has anyone gutted or deleted the 3rd cat? How did it affect the sound/loudness? Would really like to know before I do anything.

This is it. You'll have to download it.
