What is this plug?

I recently removed my air inbox on my 14 Silverado to install new headlights and I found this screw plug that was sitting at the bottom of the box. I couldn't find exactly where its supposed to go other then the outline of a dirt ring that looks similar to it on bottom of holding pan for box but when I insert it there the box doesn't seat properly in pan.. Couldn't find it on any sketches or drawings of it. anyone know where it possibly goes or what/where it threads into?

Mine has two of those mounting grommets. When I reinstalled the box, it needed firm pressure applied to seat it properly.

Yep. That is what holds the box down in place. Like an alignment plug if you will.
