Cold Air and Exhaust

Greetings,

Sorry if the question has already been asked but does changing out the air intake to a cold air like K&N and putting a different muffler on the truck make a real difference?? I like the looks of it but I would like to improve my gas mileage. I have a 2018 1500 5.3

It all depends on how you drive.

Aftrer I put on my Borla exhaust and an AFE cold air intake, I found it tempting to hear it. ?

i would say in the long run there is not much  noticible diference.

It likely wont change anything. Do for sound and/or just personalize your truck that way you wont be disappointed. I do it to every vehicle I purchase because I not into crazy modding. Just catback, CAI, everything else is just for appearance.

Biggest difference will be sound. Which leads to a (slight) decrease in gas mileage... Mainly because you're gonna be giving it more throttle than usual to show off that new tone.

The two together wont make hardly any difference.  The two together and a tune will make a big difference.

I know you asked about a cold air intake and a muffler together but this was pretty interesting to see. A real before and after with a cold air intake without the truck leaving the dyno.

So the video above yours, shows similar dyno numbers but on a 5.3... blackbear says their test was a 6.2? So how is that the case?
