Cold Air and Exhaust

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

Sorry if the question has already been asked but does changing out the air intake to a cold air like K&N and putting a different muffler on the truck make a real difference?? I like the looks of it but I would like to improve my gas mileage. I have a 2018 1500 5.3

It all depends on how you drive.

Aftrer I put on my Borla exhaust and an AFE cold air intake, I found it tempting to hear it. ?

i would say in the long run there is not much  noticible diference.

It likely wont change anything. Do for sound and/or just personalize your truck that way you wont be disappointed. I do it to every vehicle I purchase because I not into crazy modding. Just catback, CAI, everything else is just for appearance.

I know you asked about a cold air intake and a muffler together but this was pretty interesting to see. A real before and after with a cold air intake without the truck leaving the dyno.

Scroll down page a bit to see results of different intakes compared to stock

So the video above yours, shows similar dyno numbers but on a 5.3... blackbear says their test was a 6.2? So how is that the case?
