$500 to spend

What would you spend $500 on? I’ve already got a Borla exhaust, volant intake, and diablo canned tune. Don’t want a custom tune until I get headers. Tires are brand new so not getting those. Could probably use new shocks since it looks like the original ranchos are still on it at a 115k miles. Not quite enough money for a decent sub setup. Maybe some n-fab step bars?

Personally, I would put the $500 in the bank and try to deposit additional money into that account every month until I was 65 years old.

However, if I HAD to spend the money on my truck, I would do this:

My vote would be either the bilstein 5100's or the N-Fab bars.  I had a set of both on my previous truck and loved them.

My 401k contributions are maxed, my Roth IRA contributions are maxed, I contribute money to a brokerage account every month, and fund my daughters college account. If I want to take $500 and blow it on a vehicle I think I’ll be alright.

That’s what I’m leaning towards. Leave them on the lowest setting until it’s time for tires and then raise them up to level it out.

Mom beat it in my head. Only regret is I didn’t start at 16 and waited//screwed off until I was 27. C’est la vie.

Do 5100's, and pocket the rest. No doubt will be the best money spent I think

You'll truly regret not doing the 5100's a long, long time ago.  The ride is radically different, especially now that you're used to 100K+ mile rancho's.

While were talking about shocks, my 14 has 98k on it and i was wondering around how many miles everybody was starting to change theirs out at

Shocks and grill guards are good ideas.  However, with finances in such good shape, have you thought about refreshing your '14 with an '18?  I know this is more than $500 but when you factor in a 4 year newer vehicle  c/w new vehicle warranty and current price incentives, now could be the right time.  I have found that it is often better to buy a vehicle before you need a new vehicle.

I’m at 75k on my Sierra and I have a blown rear. In the process of ordering Eibach pro truck shocks/struts. Same issue in my f150, 75,000 miles is all I can get I guess
