Stained Tailgate, need advice

Ok, I just finished switching my gold front and rear bowties for the black, everything went just as planned until I removed the painter's tape from the tailgate and noticed it stained the white. I used the green frog tape painters tape. It's nice and smooth like a chemical stain but I'm unsure.

You might be able to use something like meguiars scratch x to buff it out. Looks like bled through the tape or fumes got under it.

Watch some YouTube videos about that first. Those things destroy your clear coat.

Magic eraser is too abrasive. I wouldn’t use it on paint.

Nail polish remover? 

 

70% or 91% rubbing aholchol?

 

all available at drugstore. 

 

These me will remove any wax or protectant so wash, rinse and wax after.
