Belt or starter

So I am the proud owner of a used 2015 Silverado 1500 with 59,000 miles. However whenever I start my vehicle I get a sqeal/ high pitched sqeek. After the engine starts it’s perfectly fine and runs strong. I’m thinking it could be a belt or the starter but not sure

The Noise you are hearing could be the Exhaust Adaptive Valve, AKA Flapper Valve behind the muffler.

Upon Cold startup, mine was "squeeling" or "chirping"

Clamp yours open and see if I goes away.

I put an aftermarket muffler on my Silverado and removed the aka flapper valve behind the muffler. My truck has about 57k on it and I would say it started that squeaking noise/high pitch noise when you first start it up but goes away once you start driving. The only time i notice this noise is when i start the truck after its been sitting for a period of time.

It might be a lifter starting to fail...
You still have powertrain warranty I believe..
Take it to the dealer.

Slip off the belt and start it up.
Have you tried this?

Another apparent indicator of the flapper valve startup squeak is noticed while driving when the engine switches from V4 mode back to V8.
