Ok so I have tried searching and scrolling with no luck on a definitive answer.

Does anyone have 285/40/24's on their truck? I am trying to figure out if they will rub on stock suspension, or lowered/leveled rear only.

Pictured is my truck with the stock 20's.

Thats a bigger tire than stock. 33" tall. Stock im 99% sure theyll rub. Youll need to lift the front a bit

40 sidewalls on a P/U truck? Hope you're young with good dental insurance and even then you might want to invest in a kidney belt.

A 40 series is still a ton of meat.  And hes on stock suspension.  It will be fine.  Some of the worst freeways are where i live and im on a 4.5/7 drop. I had 265 35 22 on my truck and was fine

Only a city slicker would do that to his truck. It’s a truck. Not a BMW.

I live in the country and have land and drive through it in my lowered 16 regular cab.  I have also towed the wifes chevelle with it

I dont like the whole big wheel small tire thing either qhich is why i went back to 20s.  But who cares what he does to his truck.  That city slicker shit is a stereotype

I guess each to their own.  If that’s what you like go for it.

I never considered 24's for my truck so had to check out a few pics.  Not my thing, and it seems that that would be a terrible experience IMO for towing and hauling.  But some of the applications look pretty slick.  Guess it depends on what rims and aesthetic you're going for.
