Talked to dealer yesterday.  Even knowing they say the fix will be ready in 7-11 days, they said that could be 30 days in GM time.  If anyone has gotten the reprogramming this week, has it worked? They also gave me what fuses to pull to stop this issue. These fuses are for the Power Source and Trailer Integration.  If you are going to be pulling anything, you CAN NOT pull these fuses, but is you are not you can.  The fuse numbers are 74 and 82.  I have not done this as of yet, if anyone does, can you post if this resolves this issue.  Wish GM would come out with a common message for everyone instead of giving different people different messages.

So 74 and 82 are OK to pull

@Opiedeegs according to the Service Manager I talked to, those fuses are alright to pull, if you are not pulling anything.  I am not sure what will work and what wont after pulling them, but it will take care of the issue of all the alerts popping up after temp drops below 20.

So we can’t pull trailers now? Clearly if this fixes the issue they need to replace some wiring and connectors.

The service tech called me with the same BS about pulling fuses. Have appt tomorrow for them to look at it, for the forth time!!!

I'm not looking to have fuses pulled.....So hopefully this fix they have actually works.

Yeah no way we should have to pull fuses on a 60k dollar truck to make it drivable. Heading to the dealer in the morning to see if there’s any new developments.

This is crazy

One of the main reasons I bought this truck is to pull a 22 foot inline aluminum snowmobile trailer in cold weather conditions

Very busy this year otherwise I would have used the trailer several times by now

Maybe they just make these trucks for soccer moms in the desert. Lol.

Its really hard to see how they would even suggest pulling fuses. Think about it, the system has been identified so just replace it. they are being short sighted, what is the cheapest thing we can do. They could think, we want repeat buyers, so we are going to fix this now

Known issue with tech and engineering group, service TSB on it with no current fix out yet

My truck went in and came back yesterday with the "new fix". I am out of town so the wife took it in. She said the error popped up that morning and she did not experience that evening when they brought it back to her. I get back tomorrow and temps are supposed to be below 20 all weekend so I'll get it out this weekend for a better test.  Ironic this fix showed up right after I had a buy back request submitted and the attorney general's letter arrived at the dealership (submitted a complaint online to start procedures around the lemon law).  I am going to assume that since they are telling others 7-10 days that I may be part of their QA process on the new program... or they just took it in to buy some time. At this point neither would surprise me.

Please let me know if their fix worked when you get back to driving your vehicle.

I was couple hours away from purchasing a new AT4 today until I found this form/thread.

took the truck for a 2nd test drive and see it popping up. Asked him about it and he said he'd never seen it before or heard of it.

I walked away... too bad really liked the truck, but not worth what ya'll are going through.

Well I hope GM is reading this thread and watching their sales float away. A lot of dealers and sales guys know nothing of the issue because they haven’t sold a whole lot of these yet. Especially the higher end ones that have this “feature”.

My dealer didn’t know of any updates to fix this issue yet as of this morning. They promised to call me, GM promised to call me, so I guess I just sit and wait.

That being said, my truck did not do it at all today, and it was 14 degrees. Maybe just dumb luck...

Mine was in the shop for what was supposed to be 4-5 hrs. Now a day or two. They now say the audio module behind the back seat needs replacement. It can cause many  alerts. Also, there is a module mounted on the backside of the FREE-KIN bumper that has mud on it. That caused the side detection to fail! What we can’t get mud or water on our trucks? GM get off ur duff and move this!!!  WOW! Proud of the dealer telling the truth.

So the salesman called me today saying that GM have solved this issue with a software update (seems suspicious that the day after I said I wasn’t going to buy the truck that they magically found the solution) and that other dealership will be getting the news on Monday.

I asked for details about the update and he couldn’t tell me anything.

has anyone else heard anything ?

A software fix has been released. I have been pushing hard on this for the last two months and received a call this past Monday. You can look back and see that another individual received the same information that day as well from his dealer. My truck went in on Tuesday but I was out town so I have just been home for two days. No issues so far - but the temps have been above 22 (seems to be the magic number for my truck). This weekend we are getting back down into the single digits so I will see how it goes.

As suspicious as it seems I believe it was just lucky timing that dealer was able to give you that response. What we don't know is if this software fix has been fully regression tested and will alleviate the issues.

    • Looking for this piece that holds the hose clamp in place. I have the hose clamp just not that other piece. Dealers and wrecking yards in my area will not sell just that piece. They want you to buy the whole air tube $100 +/- to get that $5 part.  that piece isn't molded to the air tube as I looked at my friends truck. It's held on by a screw and nut. I'm trying to put the OEM parts on the truck as the previous owner butchered things up installing an aftermarket CAI. It really looked homemade. 🤣 Thanks
    • Ok I missed that part that yours is a GM. The strange part is that the choice for year ranges and within the year of 2026 is different on the Sierra then on the Chev for some reason as I am looking at my tool at the Sierra choices. Now I am guessing you see as to your sensor part number as it may be different on your truck for some reason and a call to GM should get you the part model number of the sensors you should have as well as which MHz your sensors are. I know mine are the ones as per what I listed but there are other choices in the Autel and got me wondering if by some chance they put different ones in your truck. Having said that, did you try using each of the choices starting from No 1 and going on down the list, not sure if that would mean shutting off the engine each time and resetting the tool and going at it again each time. Also I thought of something else which may sound retarded but if there was some stupid chance that the chev choice would work. The reason I say that is that the Sierra is showing a range up to 06/2026 for the various choices of sensors it could be where as the Chev has one choice that has that 12/2026. By the way it is possible to not run the truck and you may know that as per not pressing the brake but pressing and holding the start button for a few seconds and it lights up the dash ( its called service mode ) but that sucks battery power and if it were me doing it that way I would be throwing on a decent sized battery charger before doing it that way as killing your battery won't make you happy at me at all !.    Like I say, just a thought to try the Chev choices if you have already exhausted the Sierra choices but first it would be nice to know for sure what exact sensor model and hertz your truck uses as I assume only those choices that mention the sensor would work unless a choice that does not mention the sensor model would somehow work. Its frustrating when one is trying to use tools like this without the experience of the tool and the vehicle, as I am sure dealer techs themselves struggle with it when starting out or a new model year comes along that is slightly different.
    • I tried before I updated the scan tool just incase an update messed it up, but it never worked so I updated the scan tool and it still didn't work.   Only difference is I click on Sierra not Chevrolet cause I have a Sierra.   If I click on 2026-2024 I didn't have any option to change placard, when I click on 2023 it does give me the option but when I try to do it,.it says vehicle not supported!   I have my region or market or whatever it is set to America I think, is that what yours is set to?
    • Its just that it worked on 2024 trucks on this forum and my 2025 model truck, unless GM did something since that point to screw up access or Autel has a bad update. I haven't had need to use my tool since last year when I did the changes to the placard pressure settings and since then I updated the software on my Autel but have not plugged into the OBD so hard to say if I would get a surprise as well.    All I know last year when I bought the Autel I was warned to be sure to update it before I tried using the unit as they said who knows how long ago unit itself was actually manufactured as the software could be way out of date.
    • And so you had gone through the process of registering and updating the tool and so on ?. All I can say is that on the front page as the tool fires up you go to advanced mode, then vehicle model comes up and you choose Silverado ( not the DRW or EV  since your a single rear wheel ) , then I think its choice 2 which is 07/2021 - 12/2026 ( 433mhz 13542523 ) as that is the series of tpms sensors and then go down to choice 5 which is tire type/pressure selection. Hit yes and it says to connect to OBD port and turn ignition on.    Having said this, I updated the software in my tool lately and these year range choices look different from the past due to them doing some updates it would appear and I have not connected up to the OBD port since last year so hopefully I am not in for a surprise with them screwing up the software and that it won't work on my truck anymore either.    So my question is, when you plugged into the OBD and started your truck it had that message on the Autel screen "vehicle not supported" ?. That does seem odd as tire shops would be pissed right off if hey can't use their tool on the model year after mine that in theory is supposed to be much the same truck ... unless GM did some change in the computer system to block certain things from access.
