I have searched for hours , but no luck here...

Anybody have some pictures of how they ran power wire into the cab from the engine bay?   I see the "obvious" grommet on the passenger side firewall behind the battery has a long protruding rubber tube that appears to be for this exact purpose.  Inside, under the glovebox you can just see a dimple in the same grommet that I thought would correspond with the outside tube- I pressed a snake through there but no dice...  I don't want to push much harder not knowing what's in there.  I definitely want to come in through the passenger side with my project...

Any help here?   Thanks!

On the passanger side there is a hole that will put u behind the front fender. You can access it threw the footwell. Put a hole in the gromet. I used a electrical snake.

I ran many switching wires up through the floor under the drivers side foot area through that round rubber seal that the e-brake cable runs through on my 15 sierra. You'll have to remove the bottom trim and lift carpet to fetch them and stick them down using sticky backs and zip ties. I would just poke a hole through that seal with an awl so it seals great around the wires. I never noticed a bump in the carpet after installation if it's done clean. I just ran them to the center console side slot and installed some switches there.  Probably a little late response on this , ha.

I tried doing this for my fog lamp wire this weekend. Looks impossible from the inside without having to move a bunch of stuff.

There is plenty of room on the passenger side fire wall to run Power wire in. I just Ran a 1/0 Gauge wire thru the firewall.  I drilled a 1 1/8 hole to the left of the Factory grommet and used  Compression grommet to seal the wire in. It was supper Easy. I also ran the Fog light wire thru the factory nipple. I used a long plastic tie wrap and pulled it thru. I will try to post some Pics tomorrow .

Cut the tip off of the passengers grommet from under the hood. The dimple you are talking about is a hole. I thought it was a dimple when I looked, but it's difficult to see in such an awkward position lying on your back on the floor board, but it passes through. I used some 14ga wire as a fish. Push out from inside of the truck and pull it on out from under the hood. I used some hand sanitizer as lube when I pulled 4ga cable and it worked great.

Dear forum, can you advise what pressure gromet you used? This sounds ideal as I want to ensure I have a good seal after drilling the hole.

Thanks

I had to search and search and I basically found no pictures, as well. I did find a video that kind of showed the area, so I have tried to take a picture myself. The pass-through is not hidden behind carpet. On the passenger side it is to the top right of the foot rest area near a bunch of cables and connections. If you push a coat hanger through there, like I did, can you look up in that area carefully you will see the coat hanger sticking out. From there, I bent the end of the coat hanger, tied a piece of string to it, and pulled it back out to the engine bay. I taped the string to the wires and pulled them back through to the passenger side where the coat hanger previously was sticking out. The first time I tried I thought I had better tie a knot to make sure it doesn't come undone, but that would not go through. Finally I just taped very carefully to keep it thin and it went through very easily.
