recent purchase  of a 2016 silverado 

under dash  there is a knob  dont know what its for  can anyone help me ?? picture  included

Could have been a base knob or trailer controller gain maybe.

99% sure thats a knob to control the bass to a subwoofer.

Either it was under back seat or maybe if you have a full console you got lucky and they left it in there haha.

Yep. Aftermarket Subwoofer bass control knob. Betting they pulled the sub and amp it controlled. The factory bose sub does not have a bass control knob. Controls are in head unit.

Slight chance that it could have been for a custom radar detector similar to a K40. More likely that it was for an aftermarket amplifier like mentioned above though.

Alright, Drive. Time to post up pics of where the wiring went and what you found there. Was the God of Used Chevy’s a generous God and deemed you worthy of a trinket? Whatever remnants you find, I’ll bet we can help you replicate what was there. Good Luck, Dark

i followed  wire to the  back looks like there was an amp, under the back seat  theres a few wires there dont see  evidence  of sub

ill taken it to a stereo shop see what they have to say .... thanks everyone for your  help !!
