Luke, upvoted for your Dad’s umbrella. I carry a few of my Pop’s truck trinkets as well. I also keep a maintenance log, as he did, in the glovebox He’s been gone to his reward for many a year. Thanks for the happy reminder.

 

If you get a chance, post a picture of your modified underseat storage unit. I’ve thought about chopping mine up a bit lately.

I keep my 2" hitch (in its case), jumper cables, DC tire pump, 3-4 blankets (including a moving blanket), cargo straps in a helmet bag, a large moving box (folded up, works great to lay on the ground to get under vehicles, and to slide things into/out-of the bed), and occasionally a small tool kit.

Must be a damn good job to take you from FL to WI. 
Im moving from cali cause i hate cali.Lived here all my life and sooo tired of what the liberals have done to this place. Also can relocate with my company. Ppl are my kind in wisconsin and ill truly love the weather. Tired of fires and politics in this pos state. Looking forward to the move.

Paracord, fishing line and random lures bc you just never know when they’re biting, pocket knife(s), goretex jacket, first aid/safety bag, flashlight, jumper cables, phone charger, wool socks, khukuri, backup battery for charging, collapsible dog bowl, tow strap, lotion/hair bands/hand sanitizer/stray hair/whatever else my wife “forgets”, lighter and matches, water bottle, gorilla tape, bug dope, and a couple ratchet straps.

Those are stowed in the center console area, behind the front seats and center console, or tucked under the back seat on the floor.

I may move out of CA in the next few years, but I have a great paying job, and my kids want to finish HS with their friends.  Looking at either AZ or TX, maybe NM.

If your commuting in town 90% of the time you don't really need anything. My company services the ice roads you see those dramatic clowns running on in the Ice Road Trucker show, when we are up there we take extra fuel, food, blankets, satellite telephone, tools, air-line repair kits, come-alongs, ether (for flats) a gladhand adapater for airing up tires, hammers, bars, snatch blocks, powersaw/axe, booster cables, GB150 booster pack, tire chains, salted sand, shovels, 12,000 aux winch, tow straps, Henry .22lr Survival rifle and 12v cig outlet cooker. But most people aren't venturing 200 miles away from civilization at 10mph speeds. Some trips up there you don't see another human for 2-3 days.

Nice that you can make a choice like that. My wife and I left SoCal 6 years ago after 40 years (born and raised). Only thing I miss is the family left behind. Some of the time. ?

      Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.

      The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.

      Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.

      I can't believe that could possibly be the case. It should be 36mo/100k miles from installation. Then again, it also seems like since a dealership installed it, it'd all be in the system and you wouldn't need to worry about registering, either. Shows you what I know. 😄 Hope this one outlives the warranty!
