iMO, that is one lazy written article, especially since it applies to both GM brands.

 

Either way, I took a picture of the new slinger/stub shaft back in April and posted it here showing the difference between the two parts. Note, I am almost at 1 year post repair and have had no significant issues.

My truck is that the dealer getting the TSB done now.  It's taking forever, apparently the tech is "having hard time getting the axle out of the dif.   🤔

Did they finally come up with a fix for this? I ended suing GM over this chirp sound and won big.

Getting ready to call my dealer tomorrow about some 'chirping' (hoping this is the issue) and rear end noise (possible leaf spring isolator replacement TSB).

 

For those of you that have had this issue, was is primarily after longer / higher speed driving? That's when I really notice the issue with my 2019 with 40k.
