I agree with everything you said.. Except it's not egr, GM has not specd an egr system on LT based engines.

As you stated , and as gm states; it's vvt.

My chiffon isn't even humidified.........LOL   BTW there is a humidity sensing system in your 6.2 intake!  You haven't confused the readers about that.......yet.

The MAJORITY OF THE water in the oil isn't there from the atmosphere. It there from ring blow by combusting gasoline.

Why do piston tops look like trudeau with black face instead of being free of carbon build up. Any water/moisture in the combustion chamber would instantly turn to preasurized steam.

Yes, I'm aware the maf reads  humidity level.

Please explain your post and how it pertains to anything I've discussed. And please explain to me how I'm confusing.

Canadian reference.......oui!  Before it burns off atomized water blows past rings and sometimes valve guides before it could clean, you'd need to add water to air intake and there isn't enough in normal air flow via intake to do that, why your premise is wrong.  Once again.

Based on this thread explaining anything factual to you is a challenge I am failing at.  Reread whole thread from beginning and maybe learn.  If I anyone is wearing a crown its a cone of confusion from reading your commentary.

Or water methanol injection like we used on Rolls Royce Dart turbo props back in the day, to cool the charge.

I have re-read it. The only thing I can find is your belief of an existing egr  system in these trucks. Please. Show me where gm has listed such a system.

I also see that you believe the air filter to block atmospheric air.

I also see that you believe there to be check valve at all pcv connections. On that note! You have confused what I've said regarding the pcv system. L87 does not actually spec a pcv system, which is why I didn't label it as such.

I see you stirring up confusion, asking for proof, blablablah.

For what? Everything I have stated is factual information for these engines. And because I won't right up a report with a list of sources everything I've said is wrong.

:rollin:

Your late to the party friend. Catch can arguments for this engine started in 2014.

I have nothing to prove to you. If you don't believe me show something to back it up other than you said knowledge base.

Show me a gm doc showing an egr  system, pcv valves on the l87, intake tube pressure after the filter.

Everything you've said is based on your knowledge of engines. However you have no knowledge of these LT based engines.

Nobody has mentioned the PCV air intake on the L87 on the passenger side valve cover that connects directly to the intake tube.

My understanding is that the passenger's valve cover is the clean side. Driver's is the dirty side.

It wasn't mentioned because  customboss would of had to acknowledge atmospheric pressure at the passenger's side valve cover.

It isn't though lol that is VVT not EGR, again you are not recirculating

Let me see...

Explain:  acoustic wave valve event induced reversion.

(hint: PASSIVE EGR)

I'll wait.

Anything that leaves the cylinder and returns "recirculates".

Doesn't matter which door it the room it used.

Doesn't matter what it composition is.

It left. It returns.

So it doesn't have a SYSTEM for reintroducing once expelled exhaust into the cylinder it left?

Ahhh, ok.. so there is a part # for an egr valve on these engines.

Spin it anyway you want it grumpy. If we're all about facts here, show me this part number and I will shut my mouth.

Right? I mean everyone is in a huff about physical evidence, let's see it.

Wait... maybe its called vvt, and it doesn't have an egr valve... Because an egr valve would indicate something seperate or extra from the already present valves would it not?

Maybe try explaining why the EGR valve has to exist for the exhaust to recirculate?  Or more to the point, why we need or don't need a Catch Can?

All the moisture comes from the crankcase. The can does not CREATE moisture.

But yes, moisture is condensed in the can due to the temperature being LOWER than the condensation temperature of water and light gas cuts.

And now you know why I highlight and bold face. You may not make it to a ripe old age if you don't learn to COMMUNITCATE a thought clearly. You state that the moisture DOES NOT come from the crankcase and is CREATED in the can. (Those are your words in these quotes...right?

Create can mean 'to cause something to come into existence" such as divorce creates problems for children but the context of your replies states clearly that moisture does not come from the crankcase; indicating the first meaning of creation, to BRING something into existence....(Oxford Languages) i.e. God created heavens and earth Gen 1:1.

Context is the means one uses to decide which of several meanings apply when a word is used. 😉

Slow down....take a deep breath....put the need to dress down an old man down a few degrees of importance...think it through......maybe you will realize how patient I am being. Your welcome.

I learned the secret to a long life is keeping my mouth shut (I don't plan on living very long, lol).  There's an old Chinese proverb that goes something like, "A fool speaks because they want to say something.  A wise person speaks because they have something to say."  Furthermore, Albert Einstein said, "If you can't simply explain it, you simply don't understand it."  Your posts are long and frequent.  I'll let you continue to make yourself look bad.

Remember, Grumpy put me on his ignore list so he won't see this message.

Change your handle to TARBABY.

You obfuscate and then turn in verbal circles.
Feel sorry for anyone wanting a clear answer. You and other simpletons make it nearly impossible to share science.
Sign of the mentality dominating our current days.
You don’t know the difference between a system and valve name. Let alone physics of IC engines and their emissions systems.
