Do any of the stubby antennae get good a.m reception?

Got to run the full test this morning from the antenna posted right above your post, which includes an AM station I listen to 95% of the time I’m driving. Picked it up better than the factory antenna!

Here is mine. Never listen to FMAM radio so don’t care about how it works - just hated the factory one scraping my garage roof/door. 2790bb600ed432c3661f85442d593b13.jpg

I think we have the same one FD! Pic tonight from a different angle.

What size antenna gets us just above the high point of the truck?  I chopped down the antenna on my old truck some, but left it 1" taller than the truck as a clearance gauge.

I'd like the same for this one, and that 22" AntennaMastsRus is interesting.  Still too tall though?

EDIT:  Oh hmm... no wind breaking spiral on the stainless.  Rules that one out I think.

HD radio sounds clean like a CD or SXM. Surprised to hear so many radio stations, but then again it could have been that way with the long whip, just didn't try. Also never knew with HD radio a station could send multiple streams on one frequency. I'm getting up to four on some of them.
