Emblem Removal

I recently purchased my 2019 TB. I have always removed emblems from vehicles as a preference.  This thing has CHEVROLET printed in the tailgate with "Silverado" and "Custom". Don't forget the trailboss sticker and z71 badges.... I feel like a 90s Honda ricer owner. These emblems looked glue on as usual but wanted to verify first after a search.  Thanks.

I like the floss method but fishing line does work better.

Yes.  I just picked up mine a week ago and that was first thing I done.  Used fishing line.

I just used a heat gun and they came right off with my finger nail pulling on them.  No glue left behind at all.  Nice and easy.

If you’ve always removed emblems this will be no different with 3M tape. Same as they’ve used for 20+ years.

Yea I have before too when the truck is new and you catch it early enough.  Once they've had several heat and cool downs, it gets tougher. even so, the glue pretty much rolls off with your thumb.  WD40 and a microfiber gets the remaining glue residue off.

I just took the Trail Boss decals and Z71 badges off the sides of my 2020. I’ll do the Silverado, LT, and 6.2L badges another day. I just used a hair dryer, dental floss, a plastic body work tool, and Goo Gone. Pretty painless.
