chrisblah
I really like Pro Clip mounts as they're typically dash mounted and don't move around. I've used them on 2 other vehicles and just got one for my silverado last week. https://www.proclipusa.com/product/855456-proclip-angled-dash-mount Note: Pro Clip has mounts and phone holders separate. This is only for the mount itself which has an AMPS mounting pattern on it. I then used it in conjunction with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EVRS7P2/ The Pro Clip mount says it's for the right side of the screen, but I ordered it with the intention of wanting it on the left. I assumed it would work as the dash vents are the same size. It's technically angled away from me, but my phone holder has a ball mount so it works fine. Steve Martin
Must not get hot where you are. That's what I call an air blocker. I have an iottie for a few years. Great device and I use the suction cup to the windshield. Doesn't restrict airflow from the vents. It's raining hard out or I would go snap a pic. allen.zandi
Pictures attached as promised. I like this position because it it within easy reach for Google Maps and Spotify and I can easily plug my phone into the radio for Android Auto or (my preference) a quick charger in the 12V socket. I primarily use the Android Auto app on the phone screen so I can use the quick charger. I used some left over computer fan screws I had laying around (link below), but any basic screw should work. I drilled pilot holes so the screws wouldn't crack the plastic. I also had to take the dash panel apart (same as installing the auto start/stop eliminator) because the filler panel wasn't fully locked into the clips on the back and it pushed in. Once I made sure the clips were fully seated it was solid. Fan screws: https://www.amazon.com/Computer-Cooling-Mount-Screws-Pack/dp/B01LLKY3GO?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1 I took this guys idea. i purchased the charging phone mount from Proclip. This allows me to dock my iphone and use carplay.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Coastie
This was the best solution I could come up with after a few failures. If you want it higher, you can just use a longer ram extension, I wanted it lower so it didn't block the seat and temp controls. It utilizes a go-pro base with ram adapters. I am in Alabama and so far no heat issues. Don't laugh at my old phone, the new one is taking the pictures. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L13RXBS https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZZWJYPD https://www.amazon.com/s?k=ram+socket+arm&i=electronics&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DFDKNZF

Not a feature I currently use, but the phone would block visual and easy access to the controller. You can reach around and change it, but not see it. Luckily the brake controller should be a set and forget system, if not, a second go-pro base on the left side would be a good idea,, the mount could be places on the left when towing and the phone can still be easily reached from the driver side, at least with my reach.
