The thing is I bought my truck from a dealership in AZ but I now live in Texas. I mean they will know my name when they get the paper from the attorney office that's forsure. I'm not opening another claim with them, just to speak with "specialists" who don't know anything/ But we will see where it goes. Hoping for the best

You are correct, there are many there, like most companies that don't know or give a crap, so it takes time to weed through the process and find the ones that make it happen.

I would go with what your attorney says at this point, tricky thing will be, GM will say they have fixed the truck and nothing is wrong, you will say other wise, and it will come down to an arbitrator deciding your fate.

Good luck, and maybe think about the claim route one more time.

Good luck lemon lawing over a click behind the dash. You need to find a competent service dept.

So far the ones you have gone to are worthless.

Other option go park it in the ghetto and leave the keys in it and walk away.

I'm dead serious.

There are some under passes in the Houston area that routinely flood this time of the year. I hope you’re truck doesn’t act up going through those during a heavy rain. It be a good idea to make sure your insurance covers flood damage just in case.

There was somebody on here that was complaining of the same thing, and he found a fix.

There is a sensor for your electric power steering on the steering shaft under the dash, when he would turn the wheel, the play in the connector body would click. He shimmed it and it quit.

And when I say "under the dash", all he had to remove was the driver's side lower air vent. It was not a big deal at all.

Not sure if this will help but this is my experience with filing for Lemon.

i have both a 2014 and 2017 Silverado, my 14’ has that same clicking noise. Had it within a year of purchase. GM couldn’t find the issue and Lemon Law attorneys wouldn’t pick up the case because it wasn’t part of anything vital. No check engine lights or anything so there wasn’t evidence that this was any hard to the trucks life expectancy.

With my 2017, month after I got it I would get a check engine light about 5 more times for O2 sensors and truck would go to limp mode only driving 15mph. I was able to file for lemon law, but once the dealership where I purchased it from caught wind, instead of putting on the papers that they replaced my O2 sensors they would put something else.. like replaced throttle body to address the issue.. which they did replace but did not fix it. So my attorney said they could not get the truck replaced but rather got me a lump some of money for my “losses”

i eventually took it to another dealership which fixed the fixed the issue turning out to be the wiring harness that connects to the O2 sensors.

In order to file, you need to have all documentation to present to the attorney if they pick up your case. Now if they do pick it up and you happen to get the lump some like I did and then the problem still occurs, know that it’ll be difficult to continue addressing it because you accepted the compensation within the statue of limitations for the civil issue.

Go ahead and keep making those monthly payments because there is no way theyre buying that truck back.

Wow you must know something I don't obviously? You must work for GM and already know every single detail about my truck and everything that's wrong with it. Thanks for the input, will continue to keep making a payment until GM figures it out just like any normal person would do.

I do know something and it’s that GM isn’t going to buy your truck back and you won’t win a lemon law suit for a ticking behind the dash.

Have you taken a test drive with a dealer tech in the car? Back when I was a tech for a different brand, I had to do that a few times. Techs HATE noise complaints! pay sucks and its a pain to chase, especially since they are going off of a written description and not truly knowing what they are listening for. So in general, noise complaints don't get real in depth review until its been back a couple times already. Just the nature of the "flag hour" world techs deal with. And the main reason I jumped ship!!

My dash "pops" a bunch, but luckily I can just ignore it.

I have all the documentation from the dealers so I'm not worried about that. We will see where it goes, but hoping for the best at this point.
