Towing a car hauler.

Hi everyone.  New to the forum and have a question for the experts!  I have a 2018 Silverado LT w/2LT, Z71, 5.3L and want to use a car hauler to pull my wifes 1971 Pontiac Lamans Sport Convertible from Wisconsin to the Black Hills in South Dakota for a car show.  The trailer I would use is a 24' enclosed car hauler.  Do you think the truck can handle that large of a trailer at 65/70 MPH across 1400 miles?  My truck is brand new - just purchased it in June and it only has 2800 miles on it.  I installed a Range device so that blasted AFM is off.  I'd rather pull a flatbed car hauler because of less weight and wind resistance but if I do it, I have to use what's available.  Your thoughts are appreciated.

Any idea what total weight of that will be?  I pull a ~6,500# boat behind mine all over the midwest and have no issues whatsoever.

Change your oil before you head out with a very high end oil like Amsoil for added protection from wear and tear cause being a 5.3 it’ll be at its limit. Good luck

A boat is a big difference from a enclosed trailer... the wind drag is what gets you. I have hauled 9k lbs in a dump trailer just fine with mine. But my 6k lbs camper is a whole different animal. Does it just fine but you surely know its there

You could always rent an open car trailer from UHaul.  This would to much easier than the enclosed and give you better visibility.  Cost likely wouldn’t be too bad either and would be partially offset by fuel usage.  Biggest downside is the car would be able to get dirty in wet roads.
