Did I get any clearcoat at all?

Unfortunately all the new trucks have thin paint. I have a few rock chips I touched up and there is hardly any thickness to the paint.

The up side is it is pretty hard stuff which has made it pretty easy to touchup. I've done a pretty large one where it was hit by an RV in a parking lot which took the paint but not the primer and didn't leave a dent and it is nearly impossible to find if I don't point to it.  Mine is under 4 mils. So thin under the rear bumper that the primer shows through.

That high up on the body and I'm guessing metallic, that's a tough fix to make invisible.

I've got chips on my hood and the paint can't be thicker than a piece of cheap notebook paper.

Got a quote to have that clear plastic added to the front of the truck, $1700.

So guess i'll be buying some touch up paint haha

I generally use color match rattle can on the nose of my vehicles when they get the measles. I make templates ifs it’s too bad. My Toyota after two road trips got the measles. My rattle can fix has lasted two years. Recently got a letter from Toyota for a free paint job for peeling on body panels. Oh what a feeling.

I've been touching up the front end with a touch up pen since I bought it ?. Checked pricing for protective film for the front, was quoted over $1000.
