Mod Ideas?

Just got a 4 in lift on my 16 high country. Working on getting an exhaust system. Are there any other mods that you would suggest, even if they are just aesthetic, not looking for anything crazy. Also I removed the lower valence to make it look taller but regret it as it shows a lot of the underside. Are there aftermarket lower valences available anywhere?? Any suggestions are appreciated

I would leave the valance on. It serves a purpose unless you need it gone for ground clearance as the owner manual states.

If you spend a lot of time on the highway, I would put in a good quality, professional grade CB radio in it. Depending on your local laws and whether or not you have a HAM license, a scanner that picks up emergency frequencies is also a nice add. Nobody likes traffic jams. It's a big truck, an antenna or two isn't obtrusive.

Use good tires. Michelin and Goodyear seem to be the best.

Disable V4, by tune or Range plugin.

Change your oil when it says, keep up on routine maintenance.

Nothing much else I got.

Just take off the bottom section of the balance.

Leave the top part of it on. If you take the whole thing off it looks like shit.

I have Borla Atak in black tips for an exhaust and love it. I don't see any pics of your truck but next I want to open my lights up and do the custom DRL boards and clear turn signals. High country doesn't have that problem though. I can highly recommend Nitto Ridge Grappler for a hybrid tire. Best one I've owned hands down. My Goodyear's were loud. Other than that maybe a roll up bed cover or Roll N Lock. Keep it simple.

i removed my lower valence too and didn't like the look....  so i trimmed off the lower part on each side so it's straight across on the bottom - i like this a lot more!

 

 

 

another one of my favourite mods was adding 3 red "running' lights above my back license plate.  i just tied into the license plate light wires for power....

 

 

as mentioned above, footwell lighting is a must add and easy to do!  i also changed my interior control knob lights from white to blue and added a bunch of other interior lighting....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i think my favourite though would be the cup holder...

 

 

another one of my favourites was getting inlays for my dash (and changing a bunch of the LEDs in the dash to blue)....

that's weird that the link isn't working??  seems to work ok for me.

 

if you go to my build thread (the link below in my sig, under the pic of my kids below)... page 3 has a whole lot of "how to" posts on what i did to make stuff blue.  page 4, a little past about half way down there is a post from october 23, 2016  that shows my cluster mod.  the needles came with the cluster overlays.  i just painted them black.
