It does add performance, a very negligible amount. In the performance car world you don't see the full gains without a tune to take advantage of it, no one does that to gain performance if they know what they are doing, they add it to compliment other parts. Putting an intake and exhaust on a stock truck is done pretty much for sound and to add to that look at me factor. What is funny is adding those parts to a lifted or leveled truck with larger wheels, tires or E-rated tires and you are still slower than a stock truck without those goodies. I would much rather get a tune for less than half the $2k price and actually gain some power and change how it drives, though that is not warranty safe. To each their own, I can find a much better way to spend 2 grand that actually makes an impact for me to notice.

You’re wasting your time attempting to have a logical discussion with someone that doesn’t care what experiences and logic is placed in front of him/her, rather look at pictures and pat him/herself on the back for doing so. First he said he got huge gain from his strap ons then admits would better the truck with a tune, sounds like someone’s getting upset for not agreeing with his/her logic, start calling people old and GTFO this topic, I made my point, and hope everyone understands, strap on parts give negligible performance, the louder something is doesn’t make it faster and no matter what you put on your truck, the computer is telling it to do the same thing. Many in these forums have experienced very negative results, including myself and that’s before I knew tuning was required.

Just get in line for the 2021 Ram Rebel TRX  with the Hellcat 700 + HP engine.

Supposed to have a base of $71,690 but the "Launch Edition" will go for $92,000.

Me, I 'm perfectly happy with my stock 5.3 that will drink 87 octane gas all day and do everything I ask of it.

I run 6-7 gallons of E-85 mixed with super unleaded and have noticed snappier acceleration. You should try it, it’s cheap and have been doing it for past year with zero issues. Besides, I like the smell of fresh fries from my exhaust and helps keep fuel lines clean

Man he never gives up.

I never said it has huge gains. Your comprehension is terrible.  I said it made a huge difference in my truck on how it runs. The stock exhaust is $h!t. Your stuck in your little world and that’s fine. You didn’t know a T1 could be tuned. You brought up the tuning part.  I also stated that tuning wakes up the truck.
you seriously struggle with accepting that bolt on’s do add performance. That’s what I stated and it’s a fact.
also u don’t even own a T1. Why are u here, and You have stated now 4 times you were done. You have some issues man!  Move along and accept your wrong.

Stop with your BS, I said your strap ons are worthless without a tune, you fumble your words throughout this discussion. It’s like trying to have a discussion with someone from the looney left.

Your strap ons are worthless without a tune. You finally agreed with me and now you’re turning it around, good Lord, I may be old to you but you’re definitely taking the cake for retardation! I said I may be mistaken about whether or not T1’s are tunable but the fact is add ons without a tune which is what I’ve been saying all this time are worthless. Enjoy your butt Dyno testing and your added imaginative hp gains from a louder exhaust.

Keep it up, you’re highlighting your ignorance on performance related products. You’re obviously someone that doesn’t read before purchasing and the prime reason that marketing companies target gems like yourself to make these strap on manufacturers an income. Bye bye now, I’ll leave you with your pictures, butt Dyno and loud noises make it faster theory.

Yep. Thanks for proving my point that you can’t comprehend. I’m done debating with an ignorant old man who never changes his ways.

Wrong topic but for entertainment purposes, I follow independent Test Results as well as personal experience not what budget sale oil buyers get by with such as yourself.

Let’s stick to the Topic and not bring in another one of your “hey I found oil for $3 a quart and change every 10k miles moment”, Capeesh!

E-85 is not available in my neck of the woods. Our corn down here is too sweet to piss it away making gas out of it.

One day if I get real froggy I might crank that little knob on the dash over to sport mode and see what happens. At 4,100 miles I haven't pushed too hard on the skinny pedal, but when I have it's been fun.
