I thought I remember reading where the frameless mirror was slightly smaller than the oem one though. So keep that in mind.

Yep

I ended up taking mine off when I did it. My wife commented about the reduced rear view ability. The mirror was also gifted to me to test out last year or so... so I ended up giving it back to him :)

I’ll likely reinstall it again. LOL. I like the way it looks.

Can this be done if the truck has lane keep assist (the camera next to the mirror)?

I dont think the camera style rear view mirror will be easy to put in. The Camaro group has been working on it, last I read you needed the new mirror, new camera, the wiring harness and some other stuff. It sure wasnt plug and play at all.

Yeah - There is certainly fabrication needed to mount the dual camera at the tail gate location.  If I can get my hands on a mirror and camera at a decent price, I'd be willing to give it a go.

Yes.

There is a sensor on the glass itself as well as a sensor on the back of the mirror.  When the sensors are covered, the mirror dims...and sends this dimming signal to the driver side DL3 mirror (if you have that).

I do that too [emoji1] Ill likely do that with some parts to my truck like I did with my jeep grille. I had a color match one and a chrome one and I would switch back and forth when I wanted a slightly different look. I'll likely do that to my truck now when I find a cheap grille on here or CL...
