Camaro Rear View

How easy/tough would it be to convert our rear view to a Camaro frameless style? Is it plug and play? It looks awesome but I haven't seen it talked about much. Attached is a photo I saw on the swap and it looks much better

This is what I’m waiting on! My mom has it in her blazer and I NEED! [emoji23]I’ve been following a thread on adding them and you just need the camera mirror and wiring to each as it doesn’t go through the BCM. Just a matter of getting hands on a camera.. also relocating the onstar buttons.. which that may cause issues.

So I'm curious, on[mention=159655]pgamboa[/mention] 's website it lists this for converting the mirror from a WT/LT trim to an LTZ/HC trim. So is the Camaro frameless mirror a direct swap on an LTZ that already has the auto dim and on star features? I swear to god I was going to post this same exact thread today, beat me by an hour or so...

It’s 2-fold.

If you have a lower trim truck that doesn’t have a traditional dimming mirror (you can see the sensor sensor holes on the front mirror glass and the back side), you have to add that first. This brings it up to an “LTZ/HC, SLT/Denali” level mirror. Once that harness is in, then there is separate harness that converts that to the camaro frameless mirror.

If you have the dimming mirror from factory, you can skip that step and just do the camaro frameless mirror and harness. I don’t this harness loaded yet. It can build it.

I'll have to get that frameless harness when I have the money. Love the look of it, I'm sure itd bring up the truck's looks a fair amount. Thanks for the quick response!

I thought I remember reading where the frameless mirror was slightly smaller than the oem one though. So keep that in mind.

I'm still scratching my head on having a 14 LTZ and not having a dim rear mirror.. DANG IT. Anyone have a price estimate for what the Camaro rear views go for?
