Add another moaner/droner to the list.  I'm at 18k miles.  Been hearing it for awhile.  Only happens at 45-55 mph.  It's a minor issue for me.  I'd rather spend the money on modifications right now.  I'll replace the tires when the read says it needs replacing.  I plan on upgrading the socks to Bilstein once the Ranchos need replacing.

Mine are starting to hum more which is a shame because the tire has been EXCELLENT in every category otherwise.  Its not obnoxious yet, but if the hum continues to get worse I might be discarding them before they actually need to be replaced.  I have been rotating them every 5k-7.5k miles.

I have a 2020 Silverado with 28,000 miles and the same tire cupping and horrible "tire" noise between 20 -30 and 50 -60 mph.  It's like someone is trying to drill a hole in my skull!  Tires have been rotated at every oil change by the dealer.  I've been to two dealers and they both tell me there is nothing wrong with the truck and that I must be hauling heavy loads (not the case) or it's the WAY I"M DRIVING!!  I've explained that I've hauled very little with the truck and the few hundred pounds from a storage box during hunting season is not ruining my tires.  They've also chosen to ignore the fact that I've been hearing a squeaking noise in the front left end suspension when the truck rocks to the side slightly when pulling straight out of my driveay and and transitioning from the gutter portion of the street to the main paving.

If anyone has had success getting any resolution from GM please share what you did and what you received.  Thanks.

I had that problem with my wife’s Genesis. The originals were some Z rated fast wearing eventually loud tires. The replacements from discount tire eventually got loud. They warranted those tires and the third set went 60K no noise. Now on 4th set all is well. As far as any help from the dealer or GM doubtful. A person can knock an alignment out pretty quick. Usually there’s a tire warranty with a new vehicle by the tire manufacturer. You could try that.

The DuraTracs are a soft compound tire and need to be changed more often than "every oil change".  If you wait 7.5k to rotate them, they will start cupping on the edges.  Rotations should be every 5k miles max on these tires.

You may be right, but that's not what the owner's manual says.  Therefore, GM should bear some responsibility.

I loved my duratracs, but after the first year they went downhill fast. It wasn't really the noise that bothered me, but handling and comfort dropped off. Became really bouncy :dunno:

I just switched to falken wildpeak at3w's and the difference is unbelievable. Granted the wildpeak's are 4ply so that has something to do with it. I hoping they age better :P
