I have a 19 Sierra Limited base with 5.3,and my gas mileage is nowhere near what is listed  in canada its estimated 15.8L/100km city I'm at 21.9L/100km. Anyone else this bad . I haven't taken it on a long highway drive so not sue what that consumption is .

Thanks

I get about 21L/100KM when I'm in 4 Auto but nothing close to that in 2WD.  I know my fuel mileage was a bit higher when I first got the truck but went down after a week or so.

I'm in Texas, and converted (18.4mpg) to metric and have been averaging 12.8L/100km over the past 5500 miles (8800 km).  Heavy traffic with a ton of stop and go and also HWY (90 minutes to go 26 miles (42km) on average), extreme heat for first 3 months of ownership.   My absolute worst with all city was 15.5 mpg (15.2L/100km) and that was my first fillup so still breaking in.

You'll get worse gas mileage in cold weather. I imagine Ontario is pretty darn cold right now.

Really depends on which part of Ontario you are in, for example;

Southern Ontario near Simcoe Ontario it is currently 3°C (37.4°F)

Northern Ontario near Pickle Lake Ontario it is -11°C (12.2°F)

Winter mileage is abysmal in every vehicle...my 09 Yaris gets 55 mpg (imperial) in the summer on the highway (100 kph) but drops to 35 mpg in the winter. Warm-up, stiff parts when cold, winter tires, slush/snow etc on the road and winter blend fuel all take a chunk away from the milage... I'm in Kenora NW Ontario and gas in $128.9/liter so it hurts!

Just saying....

My Sierra probably gets 5 mpg while plowing ?

About 13.5 - 15  mostly city some highway driving in there. That's in 2WD.

If I'm driving around in 4 Auto I'm around 19-21 range.

FYI, you are in the wrong forum, if you have a limited then your tuck looks like the 2014-2018 mode.

I agree this mileage is poor, but I wouldn't call it horrible.  Are you primarily city driving or are you in a rural area?  Are your tires and suspension stock?  Driving style/habits also play a major role.   I just have the 4.3 but it is rated close to the 5.3 in fuel economy.  My "best" is 9.7 l/100km  but I've seen it reach 24 when pulling my travel trailer.  When conditions are right you will likely reach your listed estimate.  However, you will seldom match the ideal conditions.  Enjoy your truck!

Both of those examples are pretty damn cold.

If you have a legacy model and it looks like a 2014-2018(k2) then you want to be in that forum.
all good. Not a problem being in the wrong part.
