Mine has been to the dealership four times with a shudder. (3 different dealers)   They say it's normal.  This is my last GM product. I can't stand driving my new truck

Take it to the dealer again and tell them there is a TSB 19-NA-121 out for TCC shutter this as it flushes and changes the trans fluid to the new type of Mobile 1 blue label fluid, I had this done about a year ago and all is fine.

@nichos I think I’ve been having the same problem on my 2019 Silverado 1500 5.3L V8- getting worse/more frequent the last month or two.

Did you get the Trans fluid flush done and have any benefit?

Hoping I can get away with just the TSB that @Silverado4x4 mentions there.

thanks in advance!

@Garystruder I think it did for a while but the problem came back. I took it in at the start of the year since I knew my 60k powertrain was expiring. The dealer said it would be covered and GM would rebuild it for free.

I was fortunate though, the dealer included a 100k warranty when I bought the truck and I was able to get a new transmission (see this thread: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/263709-2020-chevrolet-silverado-1500-8-speed-shudder/#comment-2647696 )

Anyway, I have the new transmission, I wouldn't say it's smooth, but the shudder is definitely gone. Still had shift when she's cold.

Good luck!

I experience the same thing a high frequency vibration. It’s not at a severe level yet I was concerned. I took my truck into the local Chevy garage. The service manager said it was due the torque converter. He wanted to replace the fluid in the transmission. He said that might help. $675 later with new fluid the high frequency vibration comes and goes as before.
I’m planning a 2,000+ mile trip over Christmas. I’m concerned regarding possible transmission failure on the trip. The truck is a 4 door with a 5.3 liter engine - 4x4 of course. The truck has 130,000 plus miles on it.

Same deal.  2019 with 5.3L at 44k miles and started to experience a slight shudder at about 25mph with gradual acceleration.  I use a Range device to disable DFM.  Brought it in and had the Tranny flush....seems to have made a difference.  Do not have any symptoms afterwards and keeping fingers crossed.   Dealership was quick to point out either the Tech Bulletin for Tranny Flush or TC issue.

I have been having this problem for the longest time! I have had several dials ran on it and nothing. Came across this thread and it looks like there is a TSB?! I thought GM service centers were supposed to check these when you bring your truck in for service?! I’m shocked at this discovery. I could have some serious damage happening to my truck and GM has failed to send me ANY letter of any sort stating there is a TSB! GM, please reach out to me to help come to an amicable resolution for both of us. I love my truck, 2019 Silverado Z71 RST, affectionately named “A10 Warthog”.

Just brought my truck in to another service shop. Shudder is so bad…they recommend an entire transmission swap!!! How on earth can that be?! GM…if you’re reading this, would love to hear how we can work together to resolve this without lawyers.
